My dad has had a gambling problem and he’s been going to OTB for as long as I can remember, and blowing lots of money. He blows his state disability money, money he has from an off the books job, and another job he gets tip money from.

My mom and sister live in NY, where my dad is. I live in Los Angeles, and want to help him.

My family wants to help him, and I know that there are Gamblers Anonymous meetings, but how do we get him to go?

Another problem is that my dad helps me and my mom pay bills every month, as I am just out of college, and my mom just finished battling cancer.

Does anyone have any advice?
